Biotipe is a modern and innovative offices' complex located in the city of Lille in France. It was designed by Henning Larsen and KeurK architecture in 2020. This building was built and completed in 18 months.
Designed with the idea of wellness in mind, this architecture integrates nature by bringing it into the structure and giving top priority to natural lighting and ventilation, thus allowing the building to breathe.
Biotipe has a supporting structure in reinforced concrete, it is configured in plan as a parallelepiped that bends and rises taking a Z shape.
The development in height takes place through real leaps, which are transformed into hanging gardens and are almost completely invisible from the northern front and from the one to the west, while they are evident when looking at the southern side.
The whole building is closed vertically by a composite skin made up of panels made with aluminum elements that protrude from the facade plane at various angles, giving the whole the appearance of a complex organism that plays with light.
